GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Sanitary Staff will be engaged in HOUSE-TO-HOUSE CLEANSING WORK between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 Noon, at the following premises in the City of Victoria, on the dates specified, and members of the community who are interested in this question are invited to inspect the work while in progress.

Houses in which cases of Plague or Smallpox have occurred are disinfected at once, and it is not therefore possible to notify these addresses in advance in the Public Press, but if any members of the community who are interested will give their names and addresses to the MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH, he will notify them of such case as it occurs, and they may, in like manner, inspect this work—subject to such precautions as the MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH may deem necessary to prevent the spread of infection.

This advertisement will be repeated from time to time with the correct addresses at which this work will be carried out.
